Julio Marques serves the Lord in Timor-Leste. He was saved out of an animistic family who claimed to be catholic. In 2002, Julio was converted, and in 2006, he was baptized. He recalls his initial call to ministry: “As I grew in faith, I developed a love for helping the pastors, serving at the church, and going out to share the Gospel.”
Julio attended and did an internship at our church from 2020-2022. During these years, he learned more about pastoral ministry, got vital experience, earned a Masters Degree in Pastoral Ministry from NOBTS, and got married to his wife, Becky.
Julio now serves the Lord with faithfulness, along with his wife back home in Timor-Leste. The work is to strengthen the local church, teach the Bible in various contexts, and translate the Bible into native languages. We pray that more and more people in Timor-Leste would come to know the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ through the ministry of Julio and Becky.
